Sustainable Dairy Farming

From dairy farms to factories

"Yokkaichi Dairy Farming" (Yotsuraku) began as an association made up of dairy farmers around the foot of Mt. Suzuka in Mie Prefecture. In 1987, we built a milk processing factory to make the best use of high-quality raw milk, and later built a yogurt factory and acquired HACCP certification.

In 2000, we standardized the feed for dairy cattle to non-genetically modified (non-GMO) feed and started in-house production. In 2005, the cooperative's dairy division was spun off into a separate company, and in 2009, the entire factory acquired ISO 22000 certification.

Currently, using raw milk from limited dairy farms that use 100% non-GMO feed, we manufacture various dairy products, including carefully selected pasteurized milk. In the future, we will continue to conduct integrated production from dairy farms to factories, aiming to be a company that considers the natural environment more for "sustainable dairy farming" as well as making "more delicious" and "safer" products.

    JPA2 milk

JPA2 milk is domestically produced milk that uses 100% raw milk from A2 farms, and undergoes component inspection using the "DNAFoil A2 Cow Milk B3 Test" before production.

Therefore, by using only raw milk judged to be A2 milk, we have received an approved label from SwissDecode.

Quality Control Procedures

Procedures

Yokkaichi is regularly controlling its A2 milk products with SwissDeCode’s DNAFoil A2 Cow Milk test, the world’s first rapid, on-site DNA test for the authenticity of A2-casein milk. Samples taken from A2 milk batches have tested negative for the presence of the A1 beta-casein.

Certificate

By testing negative for the presence of the A1 beta-casein, Yokkaichi Dairy's A2 milk products became certified and are now displaying the A2 INSIDE Label in their products.
